Management Accountant

Role: Management Accountant – full time, permanent

Client: Outsourcing Accounts to SMEs

Salary £38k-40k pa + study support

Location: Central London (in office at client Central London premises1 day per week)

This is a chance for a Management Accountant from the marketing or creative services sector to work across a varied portfolio of clients and fast-track their path to Financial Controller as the role provide good career development opportunities.

Our client acts as the outsourced finance function for a wide range of SMEs, around 85% of them in marketing communications and creative services. Depending on each client's size and complexity, they provide individuals or full teams to run everything an in-house finance department would.

You'll own the full cycle, from AP/AR processing and balance sheet, bank, and ledger reconciliations through to month end, including WIP management, revenue recognition, and management accounts. Along the way you'll work with different leadership teams and ways of working, building the breadth of experience that's hard to find in-house.

We're looking for someone ambitious who understands how marketing and creative agencies operate and is confident building relationships with clients.

The Role of the Management Accountant

All aspects of the finance function up to and including producing Management Accounts

Mainly sole-role working with transactional postings, AP, AR, bank etc

Reconciliations: AP, AR, bank, balance sheet

Cash Flow forecasting

Liaising with Directors of client companies

VAT calculations and returns

PAYE & NI reconciliations

WIP management and monthly revenue recognition

The Candidate

Strong understanding of double entry book-keeping

CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier or AAT qualified

Good experience in Marketing Communications or Creative services industry

Experience of Xero accounting software preferred.

Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with company directors and owner/managers

Good communication skills, happy using the telephone!
