Management Accountant – Consumer & Fashion – London (Hybrid) – £50,000
A fast-growing, founder-led premium fashion brand is hiring a commercially minded Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own month-end, drive commercial business partnering, and manage an Accounts Assistant.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close: Lead month-end close (accruals, prepayments, journals) and management accounts with commentary.
Planning & Cashflow: Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cashflow modeling.
Commercial Insights: Partner with department heads to analyze performance and report to leadership.
Controls & Compliance: Support VAT returns, audits, and oversee weekly payment runs.
Systems & Management: Improve Xero workflows and manage/develop the Accounts Assistant.
Key Requirements
Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with SME management accounting experience.
Prior experience in fashion, retail, or consumer goods.
Multi-entity/currency and e-commerce gateway experience (Shopify, PayPal, Clearpay).
Advanced Excel skills and strong organization under deadline pressure.
Xero exposure alongside knowledge of EU VAT, US Sales Tax, or overseas entities.
