Management Accountant

Robert Walters - Management Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid - Birmingham - £50,000 per annum Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support robust financial reporting, deliver meaningful performance insight, and play a key role in stock control and cost management. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to develop within a fast-paced, operational environment.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant

Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts with supporting analysis.

Own stock accounting, including reconciliations, valuation, provisions, and variance analysis.

Work closely with operations to understand manufacturing costs and performance drivers.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including labour and stock-related assumptions.

Analyse margins, cost movements, and operational KPIs.

Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and manufacturing processes.

Build effective relationships with operational and commercial stakeholders.

Key essentials of the Management Accountant

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).

Proven experience in a manufacturing or stock-focused environment.

Strong management accounting and cost analysis skills.

Advanced Excel capability.
