Management Accountant

RG Consultancy are currently recruiting an experienced Management Accountant for a well-established manufacturing company based in Failsworth. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring that financial and management accounting complies with the latest standards

This role would be perfect for a part/qualified CIMA candidate looking to further their career within a growing SME business. Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

Ownership of month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Management of VAT returns

Support during the annual audit process

Maintenance of the fixed asset register

Detailed stock analysis and reporting

Oversight of day-to-day finance operations, including occasional payroll cover

Project margin analysis to support profitability tracking

Cash book reconciliations

Support the financial completion of projects

Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Person Specification

Proven experience in a management accountant or similar role

Experience working within an SME environment

Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and accounting systems

Industrial sector experience is advantageous but not essential
