Financial Accountant

This Financial Accountant role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting key processes such as month-end, statutory accounts and audit, while ensuring strong financial controls.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to improve processes, support compliance and provide reliable financial insight to help drive business decision-making in a high-growth environment.

Description

Deliver accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packs

Maintain general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations and cash/bank processes

Support statutory reporting (FRS 102), technical accounting and group consolidation

Assist with audit processes, ensuring strong documentation, controls and compliance

Support tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax and filings

Manage payroll reconciliations and statutory deductions

Own the finance reporting timetable and ensure deadlines are met

Drive process improvements, controls and system enhancements

Partner with stakeholders across the business to support financial insight and decision-making

Profile

A successful candidate should have

Newly qualified ACA / ACCA (0-2 years PQE) with a strong grounding in financial reporting, audit or financial control

Good working knowledge of FRS 102 and statutory accounting

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data

High level of attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business

Proactive, organised and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and make an impact

Job Offer

Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £65,000 per annum.
