Finance Manager | Rochdale (4 days in office) | £65,000 - £75,000 | Manufacturing
Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a well established international manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering responsibility for the full finance function while managing a small, high-performing team.
Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, cashflow management and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a finance team of 6 direct reports
Oversee the end-to-end finance function, ensuring the smooth running of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and cashflow management.
Take ownership of month-end and year-end processes, delivering accurate and timely reporting to Group.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, operational reporting and weekly flash reports.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost centre reviews and business partnering with operational stakeholders.
Oversee reconciliations, intercompany transactions, UK & Ireland VAT returns and statutory reporting.
Monitor daily cashflow, approve payments and oversee supplier and customer account management.
Support pricing and costing analysis, investigating variances and providing commercial insight.
Present financial performance to the Senior Management Team and support strategic decision-making.
Drive process improvements and enhance internal financial reporting.
Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Customer Care, HR and the wider Group.
About You
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable)
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
Experience leading or mentoring a finance team (essential)
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be advantageous
Knowledge of imports/exports would be beneficial
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
