Our Sales Development team is the starting point of SumUp's sales journey, creating opportunities that help thousands of small businesses discover smarter payment solutions. Based in our Cologne office, you'll work with an international team focused on the Portuguese market, building a strong pipeline for our Field Sales colleagues and helping merchants take the next step with SumUp. If you're motivated by speaking with people, learning every day, and building a career in sales, this role offers the perfect place to grow.
🎯 What you'll do
Reach out to small businesses through outbound calls and introduce SumUp's POS and payment solutions
Qualify merchants by understanding their business needs and identifying the right opportunities
Schedule high-quality appointments for our Field Sales team to demonstrate our products and close new business
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using outbound prospecting tools, lead lists and existing opportunities
Collaborate closely with your teammates to improve outreach strategies and contribute to the growth of the Portuguese market

You're fluent in Portuguese and English.
You're confident communicating with customers and enjoy building relationships over the phone.
You've worked in a customer-facing or sales environment where you've managed activity or performance targets.
You're comfortable with outbound prospecting and enjoy starting conversations from scratch.
You're resilient, eager to learn and excited to build a long-term care
