Management Accountant/Business Partner (MABP)
Salary Range: Circa £43,000 - £49,000
Location: South East London (fully on-site)

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer
We are seeking a Management Accountant/Business Partner (MABP) with a genuine commitment to the values and mission of this excellent Multi-Academy Trust. This role is pivotal in overseeing the efficient and effective operational management and business partnering of our schools, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sound financial practices.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Collaborate with the CFO, Head Teachers, and Academy Business Managers to develop and manage annual and 3-year budgets, aligning with the Trust’s strategic objectives.
Prepare, review, and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, to support decision-making by the CFO and leadership team.
Utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) to benefit school and Trust performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing plans.
Financial Controls
Maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures.
Support the maintenance and development of the Trust Financial Manual and procedures.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure schools adhere to all financial and regulatory requirements set by the Department of Education and the Charities Commission.
Support external and internal audit processes, addressing recommendations and ensuring compliance.
Financial Leadership
Provide support and training to enhance the skills and knowledge of the finance team and other stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative financial environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in business partnering, financial management, and accounting.
Part-Qualified (any recognised body).
Proficiency with financial software and systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information effectively.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
