Role: Management Accountant Location: Garforth, Leeds (Office Based) Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + Market-Leading Bonus / Benefits

A well-established and growing business is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of management accounts, financial reporting and play a key role within a fast-paced and growing organisation.

We are open to candidates from both industry and practice backgrounds. This could suit a newly qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, as well as an accountant trained within practice who is looking to make their move into industry. What's on offer

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reporting

Produce detailed overhead and cost variance analysis, identifying key drivers and trends

Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Support the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements

Assist with VAT returns and other tax-related requirements

Provide financial and technical accounting support to key stakeholders across the business

Prepare financial information and analysis for Board reporting

Support cross-functional finance improvement and process optimisation projects

Assist with systems improvements, banking analysis, VAT reviews and other ad-hoc finance projects

Help strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and accounting procedures

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider business

Skills & Experience

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant – newly qualified and recently qualified candidates are encouraged to apply

Candidates who have trained within practice or industry will be considered

Strong technical financial accounting knowledge

Proven experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

Experience with statutory accounts, audit and/or tax

Strong analytical and commercial skills, with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders

Proactive approach with a genuine desire to improve processes and add value

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
