JasperRose have partnered with a renowned boutique brand, known for its exceptional craftsmanship and design-led, made-to-order approach. The business is entering an exciting period of growth, with new expansions planned and is looking for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of its finance function and get it ready ahead of that growth.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role bridging day-to-day transactional accounting and strategic financial management. You will report to the Managing Director, with support from a Fractional CFO, and will be trusted to redesign the management accounts, shape the finance process around a new integrated systems set-up, and see the direct impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities

Redesign and take ownership of the monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary

Accounts payable and receivable, weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations and company expenses

Balance sheet reconciliations

Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other external reporting

Weekly cash flow management and monitoring, including actual spend vs forecast

Weekly reporting to the business on trade performance and KPIs

Designing the end-to-end finance process around the new integrated systems (Xero, with a new inventory and production system being implemented) and automating where possible

Processing monthly payroll

Liaising with external accountants on year-end statutory accounts

Supporting the CFO with ad hoc projects and analysis

About You

Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with excellent attention to detail

Strong Xero experience and a genuine interest in systems, process and automation

Retail experience preferred; comfortable in an SME environment that is hands-on and a little bit scrappy

A confident communicator who enjoys working with the wider business, from the owners and MD to the wider team, to get to the bottom of queries

Excited by growth, with scope to grow with the business, including building a junior team or increasing hours over time

Working Pattern

24 hours per week over 3 days, with flexibility on days; the company's core days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Hybrid: in the office during onboarding, then 1 to 2 days per week in the office once settled
