Finance Manager Leeds City Centre | Hybrid Working £65,000 - £70,000 + generous benefits package

Robert Half is delighted to be supporting a global business in the search for a Finance Manager to join its UK division based in Leeds city centre, with hybrid working available.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of both financial and management accounting activities for the UK business, while supervising a small team. The role offers strong visibility across the organisation, a broad remit, and genuine career progression opportunities within a larger international group.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, coach and develop a small finance team

Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounting for the UK division

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes

Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time

Manage statutory accounting and support audit requirements

Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies

Prepare and review financial statements

Oversee VAT returns and other regulatory reporting requirements

Support cash flow management and working capital reporting

Partner with wider business stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making

Financial Accounting Duties

Month-end and year-end close

Preparation of statutory accounts

Balance sheet reconciliations

Fixed asset accounting

Accruals and prepayments

Journals and ledger reviews

Audit support

VAT and tax compliance support

Maintenance of financial controls

Financial reporting in line with group requirements

Management Accounting Duties

Preparation of monthly management accounts

Budgeting and forecasting

Variance analysis

Profit and loss reporting

Cost analysis and margin reporting

Cash flow forecasting

KPI reporting

Business partnering with operational stakeholders

Performance analysis and commentary

Supporting strategic planning and decision-making

Candidate Profile

Qualified accountant preferred (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role

Strong financial and management accounting experience

Experience supervising or mentoring staff

Strong systems skills and a proactive approach

Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global business environment
