Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of the accounting and finance function, whilst managing and demonstrating strong leadership skills to the wider finance team.

Based in Greater Manchester within the not-for-profit industry, this role supports the organisation by managing budgets, financial reporting and compliance.

Description

Manage the finance team, built up of 3 finance officers

Work closely with the Head of Finance to support with month end procedures

Prepare monthly management accounts, budget statements and financial reports, providing variance analysis and supporting commentary

Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making

Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders and senior management

Prepare the draft year-end financial statements, reconciliations and supporting audit schedules for review by the Head of Finance

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have

Part Qualified Accountant, actively studying toward ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar

Excellent management or leadership skills/experience

Strong Management Accounting experience

Experience in managing budgets and delivering financial analysis

Experience of month end and year end accounting process

Able to pass a Enhanced DBS check

Job Offer

Salary ranging from £39,500 to £42,000, dependent on the level of experience
