A Multi-Academy Trust in Manchester to recruit an experienced Trust Finance Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking for a broad, responsible role where you can use your commercial and technical finance skills while enjoying the significant benefit of a term-time focused working pattern.
Working closely with senior leaders across the Trust, you’ll provide the financial insight, advice and challenge needed to support effective decision-making and ensure resources are managed efficiently.
The Role
Lead and support budgeting and forecasting across the Trust
Produce accurate management accounts and financial reports
Monitor budgets, investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary
Provide financial advice and guidance to senior leaders and budget holders
Support longer-term financial planning and sustainability
Maintain strong financial controls, processes and procedures
Support audit, statutory reporting and compliance requirements
Ensure funding is managed effectively and delivers value for money
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
Build strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an experienced finance professional who is confident working independently and partnering with senior stakeholders.
A recognised finance qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
You will be at least Part Qualified Level
Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Confidence interpreting financial information and explaining it to non-finance colleagues
Strong Excel and financial systems skills
Excellent organisation and communication skills
A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
Previous experience within a school, academy or Multi-Academy Trust would be highly advantageous, but strong finance professionals from other sectors with relevant transferable experience are also encouraged to apply.
