Assistant Accountant

You're probably at the stage where you've got the fundamentals of finance nailed down.

You've built a solid grounding, you enjoy getting stuck into the detail, but you're also ready for a role where you can broaden your experience beyond the day-to-day transactions.

If you're AAT Level 3 qualified and looking for a business that will invest in your development, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

In this role, you'll become part of a close-knit finance team where you'll support the Finance Director across a varied workload. You'll have ownership of key finance processes whilst gaining valuable exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and business reporting.

What you'll be doing

Managing the purchase ledger from invoice processing through to supplier payments.

Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts.

Posting nominal journals and supporting the monthly management accounts process.

Assisting with budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Producing transactional analysis and supporting finance reporting.

Supporting stock counts and inventory adjustments.

Maintaining petty cash and company card postings.

Providing cover across the wider finance function when required.

Supporting colleagues with queries relating to the ERP system.

What you'll need

AAT Level 3 qualified as a minimum.

Previous finance experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach.
