Assistant Accountant

Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join a well-established company. This role offers exposure to all areas of finance making it ideal for someone looking for an autonomous and varied position.

Key responsibilities will include all daily account processing; accounts payable/receivable invoicing, bank reconciliation, cash allocation and credit control. You will also produce management accounting reports for the MD to include VAT returns, budgets and actual results, cash-flow etc. as well as manage the running of the office including facilities, customer contracts and supervision of an assistant.

Candidate Profile: We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in finance and the ability to work on own initiative and in a small team. This role suits someone who thrives in a collaborative/customer-focused environment and enjoys working on varied financial tasks. You will possess a friendly, pleasant and can-do attitude, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
