Contract IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) - Education Sector Location: Coventry (Onsite, Full-Time) Rate: £200-£230 per day (Umbrella) Contract: Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking an experienced contract 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a busy and dynamic educational environment in Coventry. This is a full-time onsite role requiring a proactive individual who can provide high-quality technical support across a range of infrastructure, network, and end-user technologies. Key Responsibilities

Provide 2nd line technical support to staff and users.

Support and administer Microsoft Active Directory environments.

Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365/Office 365 services.

Support Google Workspace applications and administration.

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and connectivity issues.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.

Support hardware, software, printers, devices, and classroom technology.

Escalate complex incidents where required and work collaboratively with wider IT teams.

Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of support tickets.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration.

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Office 365.

Network support and troubleshooting experience.

Experience supporting Google Workspace environments.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

Previous experience working within a school, college, university, or education environment.

Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments.

Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within educational settings.

Compliance Requirements

Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS or be eligible and willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
