Senior Project Accountant (Interim) Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Competitive Day Rate

Robert Half is partnering with a leading engineering and project-driven organisation to recruit an Interim Senior Project Accountant for a key assignment supporting a portfolio of complex, high-value projects.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified accountant with strong project accounting experience who can quickly integrate into the business, provide financial leadership across project teams, and support critical commercial and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Provide financial oversight and support across multiple ongoing projects and contracts.

Deliver accurate project reporting, forecasting and financial analysis to senior stakeholders.

Support project managers with budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis and risk management.

Review project performance, identifying financial risks and opportunities.

Ensure appropriate revenue recognition and contract accounting treatment, including IFRS 15 compliance.

Assist with project reviews, contract evaluations and commercial decision-making.

Improve reporting processes and strengthen project finance controls where required.

Support month-end, forecasting and business planning cycles.

Partner with operational teams to drive project performance throughout the contract lifecycle.

About You

CA or ACCA qualified.

Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and long-term contract accounting.

Commercially minded with the ability to influence operational stakeholders.

Available at short notice or immediately available preferred.
