Support the sales team by managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, order processing and after-sales support, via phone, email and live chat.
This role would suit someone who is organised, customer-focused and confident communicating with both customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working at pace in a busy sales environment.

Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, live chat and web, providing information on products, pricing, stock and lead times.
Prepare and amend accurate customer quotations, checking pricing, margins, carriage costs and product availability.
Qualify customer requirements, identify sales opportunities and pass relevant leads to the appropriate Account Manager.
Process customer orders accurately, checking purchase orders against quotations and managing any amendments, cancellations or queries.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, stock availability, lead times and product specifications, sourcing suitable alternatives where required.
Keep customers updated throughout the sales and order process, including quotations, stock availability, deliveries and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information on the CRM system, supporting credit applications, pro-forma invoices and general account administration.
Provide day-to-day support to Account Managers, including customer follow-ups, prospecting, meeting preparation, reporting and general sales administration.
Substantial and proven experience within sales administration, customer service, order processing or a similar commercial role.
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of skills and experience.
Excellent telephone manner with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident communicating with customers and suppliers via phone, email and live chat.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel; CRM/ERP experience would be advantageous.
Good commercial awareness, with an understanding of pricing, costs and margins. Proactive and self-sufficient, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
