Our Business Banking team ⭐
Monzo Business is on a mission to make banking effortless for small businesses. We help people start, run and grow their businesses with simple, transparent banking and tools that reduce financial admin, so they can spend more time focusing on what matters most.
We're launching Monzo Business in Spain, initially focusing on sole traders and simple micro-businesses. While many customers will use a self-serve journey, we know there are moments where speaking to a real person can make all the difference.
As our founding Spanish Sales Account Executive, you'll be based in London as part of our UK Sales team, and working closely with Spain Go-To-Market, Product and Marketing teams. You'll combine hands-on sales with gathering customer insight — helping potential customers move forward while shaping the playbook for how Sales can best support our growth in Spain.
This is more than just a traditional Sales AE role focused solely on sales conversion. You will also have the opportunity to test, learn and influence how we build a safe, effective and scalable sales motion for Spain from the ground up.
🔑 You’ll play a key role by…
Engage with prospective Spanish SMB customers through discovery calls, emails and messaging, and understand their business, challenges, goals and requirements.
Be a product expert: fully understand Monzo's business banking products, features and services. Explaining Monzo Business's proposition, product capabilities and application process clearly, helping customers understand their next step without providing financial, tax, legal or regulatory advice.
Drive full sales cycle, from early prospecting and qualification; to demos and sales; to ensuring successful account switch and activation. Drive activation: not just closing, but ensuring new business customers are fully set up and onboarded.
Understand and capture detailed customer objections and feedback. Turn customer conversations into structured and actionable learnings and insights by identifying recurring questions, unmet needs, and journey friction and more.
Collaborate closely with Go To Market, Product and Marketing teams by collecting, analysing and sharing sales feedback to help teams make rapid and data-driven adjustments
Manage a pipeline of leads with strong attention to data hygiene: timely follow-ups, accurate forecasting, deal tracking. Qualifying and prioritising opportunities, handling objections and following up consistently to help customers progress through their journey.
Helping shape our Spain sales playbook, including messaging, qualification, objection handling, scripts and customer journeys. Help create and refine Spanish-language scripts, FAQs, objection handling and sales processes.
Deliver outstanding service at every touchpoint: via phone, video, email, text or digital channels.
