Product Specialist (Integration) — Barcelona
About the team
Our Product Specialist team sits at the heart of SumUp's Ecosystem — acting as the critical link between the merchants using our products and the engineers and product managers building them. We handle integration support, diagnose complex technical issues, and make sure the feedback that matters actually reaches the people who can act on it.
This role exists because our team is growing and the work is expanding. We're bringing in someone who can take ownership of integration-related support from day one, help us scale our early-stage products, and grow into a more senior specialist over time. If you're technically sharp, enjoy working across teams, and want a role where your work directly shapes how products improve — this one's for you.
What you'll do
Handle integration-related support requests (APIs, SDKs, plug-ins, cloud solutions) and reproduce issues through structured testing
Identify recurring patterns and document them clearly — with reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and relevant context — before escalating to the right team
Act as a connector between merchant-facing teams and our Engineering and Product teams, translating real-world issues into actionable insights
Maintain and improve documentation, knowledge base articles, and escalation processes so the whole team benefits from what you learn
Support the onboarding and technical rollout of early-stage products, including upskilling our Customer Support teams to handle common queries independently
You'll be great for this role if…
Strong hands-on experience with APIs and integration workflows, whether through a degree, internship, or professional experience
Comfortable troubleshooting across software, hardware, and peripheral integrations, and able to explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working with cross-functional tools such as CRM platforms, ticketing systems, or data dashboards
