People Partner

Our client, a Health and social care company, is currently recruiting for a People Partner. The role is available on a temporary and permanent basis.

The job is based between the companies two offices in Birmingham and involves travel between the two. The salary is from £42,000-£44,000. Hybrid working is also included and offers one day working from home per week.

The ideal candidate will have considerable generalist HR experience at People Advisor level, including complex employee relations casework and up-to-date employment law knowledge.

Duties will include

Providing high-quality, advice and coaching to line managers across the employee lifecycle

Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and organisational change matters

Developing People policies, processes and standards in line with legislation and best practice

Producing reports and analysing People metrics to support informed decision-making

Maintaining accurate data within the integrated HR and payroll system

Facilitating mediation meetings, coordinating wellbeing initiatives and reviewing leaver feedback

Contributing to People strategy, wider engagement and diversity initiatives, and continuous service improvement

Designing and delivering training, induction modules and presentations for staff and managers

Experience required

Considerable generalist HR experience at People Advisor level

Substantial employee relations casework experience covering conduct, capability, sickness absence, change management and grievances

Experience of developing practical People policies and processes and working with People information systems

Experience of delivering a high-quality People service and promoting diversity in the workplace

Current knowledge of employment legislation, case law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply it in practice

Digital competence across Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
