National Account ManagerEast Yorkshire | £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance Are you a commercially driven National Account Manager with a proven track record of opening doors, building buyer relationships and driving growth within major UK retailers?
This is not a traditional account management role.
We're looking for somebody who can create opportunities, secure listings, increase distribution and develop strategic customer partnerships across key retail and wholesale channels.
Our client is a growing and ambitious FMCG business investing heavily in its commercial function and looking for a relationship-led sales professional to help drive the next phase of growth. Developing and growing relationships with key retail customers
Creating new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
Securing new listings, distribution gains and promotional activity
Building relationships with buyers and key decision-makers
Identifying gaps, opportunities and routes to market
Leading customer negotiations and Joint Business Planning
Working closely with senior leadership to shape commercial strategy
Driving profitable growth across major retail and wholesale customers
Key Retail Customers Experience with one or more of the following would be highly desirable:

What Success Looks Like
Opening new opportunities within key retail customers
Securing additional listings and distribution gains
Launching successful NPD initiatives
Growing revenue across strategic accounts
Building long-term buyer relationships
Identifying and converting new commercial opportunities
What We're Looking For
National Account Manager, Senior National Account Manager or Commercial Manager experience
A strong network of retail buyer relationships
Proven experience securing listings, winning new business and delivering account growth
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Experience leading customer plans and commercial negotiations
A proactive, resilient and relationship-focused approach
This role is unlikely to suit somebody whose experience has been primarily account maintenance.
We are specifically looking for individuals who can demonstrate examples of personally winning business, opening new customer relationships, securing listings or delivering significant growth within major retail accounts.
Experience within FMCG, food, drink, consumer goods or the pet industry will all be considered. Location East Yorkshire
This role requires approximately 3 days per week in the office, so applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance. Interested?
