Marketing Analytics Manager
London (Hybrid - 2x Days a Week in Office)
£65,000-£75,000
The Company
This is a leading UK consumer and retail business with a significant physical and digital presence and millions of customers. The business is investing heavily in its data and analytics capabilities, with increasing demand from senior stakeholders to use data to make better, faster commercial decisions. The wider analytics function brings together Marketing Analytics, Digital Analytics, Customer Analytics, Data Science, Data & AI, Pricing and Promotional Analytics, giving the team exposure to a broad range of commercial challenges. Loyalty is a key strategic priority for the business, with significant investment and senior-level backing behind its loyalty programme. The focus is on using data to better understand what drives customer loyalty and value, and to build stronger, longer-term relationships with customers.
The Role
As the Marketing Analytics Manager, you will take ownership of the analytics strategy for the loyalty programme, working closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, Product, Customer and Data Science teams to understand what drives customer behaviour and translate this into clear commercial action. This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence. You will be the key analytics partner for loyalty, helping the business understand programme performance, improve targeting and personalisation, and make better decisions around promotions, communications and customer strategy.
Define and own the analytics strategy for the loyalty programme, developing a deep understanding of how it drives omnichannel behaviour, frequency, retention and customer lifetime value
Build insight around different customer and loyalty segments, identifying behavioural groups and opportunities to drive greater value
Measure the impact and value of loyalty initiatives and targeted interventions, working closely with Marketing and Data Science
Support more intelligent, data-led targeting across promotional and discounting activity
Help move the business away from broad-based offers towards more relevant and value-accretive activity for loyalty members
Own and develop self-serve reporting and dashboards using Power BI, providing trusted and timely visibility of programme performance and customer behaviour
Design and evaluate tests across loyalty mechanics, communications and rewards to understand what drives engagement and retention
Lead the analytical approach to questions around what data is needed, how it should be used and what commercial value it can create
Act as the primary analytics partner for loyalty across Marketing, Ecommerce and Product
Influence key decisions around promotions, targeting and wider customer strategy
Set the standard for how loyalty insight is produced, communicated and acted upon
Support the development and sharing of best practice across the wider analytics team
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on analysis with strategic thinking, taking a commercial question and using data to influence what the business does next.
Your Skills & Experience
Solid experience in Marketing Analytics, Customer Analytics, CRM or Loyalty Analytics
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Strong data visualisation experience, ideally with Power BI
Strong understanding of loyalty and CRM metrics, including frequency, retention, lifetime value and RFM
Experience with customer segmentation and understanding behavioural differences across a customer base
Experience with testing, measurement and ideally incrementality
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence challenging and demanding stakeholders
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, commercially focused recommendations
Comfortable working across both digital and physical/store channels
Experience within retail, eCommerce or another consumer-facing environment would be highly beneficial
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar cloud data platforms would be advantageous
Python would be a plus
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded Marketing Analytics professional who can operate strategically, but is still comfortable getting into the detail of the data and delivering analysis themselves.
The Benefits
£65,000-£75,000
