The Role
Joining a small but highly experienced finance team, you'll take on a broad and varied Management Accountant position with exposure across all aspects of the finance function. You'll be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, statutory reporting, year end accounts, audits and long term financial planning, while also working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Accruals and prepayments
Cash analysis
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Balance sheet reconciliations
Variance analysis
Fixed asset register
Produce two sets of monthly management accounts and present financial information to senior stakeholders.
Prepare quarterly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
Support cash flow management and financial planning.
Assist with the preparation of year end statutory accounts and annual audit.
Liaise with external auditors, and shareholders as well as members of the wider internal team
Support the preparation of the 5-year business plan, including annual budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare quarterly VAT and Climate Change Levy returns.
Prepare Corporation Tax payments.
Coordinate monthly stock takes and process stock adjustments.
Produce ad hoc reports and returns for the parent companies.
Support the Purchase Ledger function.
Prepare monthly customer sales invoices.
Support month end reporting, producing approximately ten management reports.
Help drive continuous improvements within the finance function as systems continue to evolve.
About You
We're looking for someone who is proactive, hands on and enjoys taking ownership of their work.
Essential Skills & Experience
ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified (or finalist with relevant experience).
Strong experience producing management accounts.
Good understanding of UK GAAP.
Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with complex spreadsheets.
Experience preparing financial reports and presenting financial information.
Confident working autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.
Full UK driving licence and vehicle.
Personal Attributes

Comfortable getting involved in all areas of finance.
Good communication skills.
Happy to work additional hours during busy periods when required (paid at time and a half).
Honest, approachable and enjoys working within a supportive team environment.

Core hours of 10:00am-2:00pm (with flexibility around start and finish times as work allows).
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day each year of service to 27 days after 2 years.
