Management Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business and board level decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a role covering management accounts, financial reporting, business partnering, statutory accounting and process improvement, with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.

Michael Page Finance is partnering with one of our key clients, a successful and growing professional services business, to recruit a Management Accountant into its high-performing finance team.

Description

Prepare full monthly management accounts and supporting reporting.

Own balance sheet management, including reconciliations and the fixed asset register.

Business partner with senior management, providing financial analysis and insight.

Present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Support statutory accounts, group reporting and tax submissions.

Act as a key contact for external auditors during the year-end process.

Support annual budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting.

Support the implementation of new finance systems.

Review and improve finance processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Lead, coach and develop members of the finance team.

Profile

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with relevant post-qualified experience.

Strong experience preparing full monthly management accounts.

Previous exposure to statutory accounting, tax and audit.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

The confidence to challenge information and identify opportunities for improvement.

A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
