Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Leeds | Up to £50,000 DOE

Reporting directly to an experienced Head of Finance, you'll join a finance team where people are encouraged to ask questions, understand the wider business, and contribute ideas. What You'll Be Doing

Preparation of monthly management accounts

Month-end close activities including journals, accruals and prepayments

Balance sheet reconciliations

Variance analysis and commentary for senior management

Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

Working closely with operational teams to understand business performance

Analysing margins, profitability and commercial performance

Supporting stock accounting, stock reconciliations and inventory reporting

Investigating stock variances and helping improve stock controls

Producing KPI reporting and business performance analysis

Assisting with year-end audit requirements

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting

What They're Looking For

Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role

Experience producing management accounts and month-end reporting

Exposure to stock accounting or inventory-heavy environments would be advantageous

Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset

Someone who enjoys getting into the detail and understanding what's behind the numbers

Confident communicating with stakeholders outside of finance

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
