Description

Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.

Prepare financial reports and present insights to support strategic decisions.

Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as required.

Assist with VAT returns and compliance reporting.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation.

Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have

A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).

Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

An understanding of financial reporting and analysis within the retail industry.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer
