Management Accountant - 3-Month Contract Location: Warrington Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: 36 hours per week Contract: 3-Month Contract, Full-time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Warrington on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a varied, hands-on position within a busy finance team and would suit someone who can quickly get up to speed and provide immediate support across management accounts, month-end, VAT, reconciliations and wider financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial information.

Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Maintain nominal ledgers and complete regular bank reconciliations.

Prepare VAT returns for review prior to submission to HMRC.

Process accounting adjustments, transfers and other ledger entries.

Maintain bank accounts, reconciliations and payment processing across multiple entities.

Undertake regular reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.

Liaise with external accountants and provide period-end reports and supporting information.

Provide wider support to the finance team as required.

About You

Experienced Management Accountant with a strong hands-on accounting background.

Part-qualified, fully qualified, QBE or similar accounting experience considered.

Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts.

Confident with month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Excellent bank reconciliation and nominal ledger experience.

Good understanding of VAT and wider accounting processes.

Strong Excel and general IT skills.

Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and quickly adapt to a new environment.

Available at short notice and able to commit to an initial 3-month contract.
