HR Manager (Standalone HR Function)
Location: St Albans
Job Type: Part time - 32 hours per week (6 hours per day, office based, flexible times)
Salary: £50,000 (pro rata'd)
Join a successful and growing organisation in a standalone HR role as an HR Manager/Officer. This position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the HR function, managing the complete employee lifecycle and providing expert guidance and support across the business.
Employee Relations: Lead and manage a wide range of ER cases, provide practical HR advice, and promote a positive workplace culture.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns, negotiate agency terms, and coordinate effective onboarding programmes.
HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain HR systems, manage compliance requirements, and produce HR reports.
Performance, Training & Development: Coordinate performance reviews, support development initiatives, and manage training records.
Continuous Improvement: Enhance HR policies, identify improvement opportunities, and drive HR best practices.
CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role with extensive experience handling complex Employee Relations cases independently.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Experience managing the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit.
Proficiency in using HRIS systems.
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
The confidence and credibility to operate as the sole HR professional within the business.
