Senior HR Lead / Manager
Location: Covent Garden, London WC2 / hybrid

Adair is a successful and growing property and construction consultancy with more than 40 people across offices in London, Surrey, the Midlands, Leeds and Gibraltar, with further international growth planned.
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of People & Culture to lead the people function and support the next stage of Adair’s growth.
Working closely with senior management, you will help shape and deliver the company’s people strategy, workforce plan and culture, while remaining hands-on across the full range of HR.
Developing and delivering Adair’s people strategy and workforce plan
Overseeing the full HR function across the business
Advising managers on employee relations, performance management and UK employment law
Leading recruitment activity and helping attract high-quality talent through Adair’s brand, social media and recruitment partners
Supporting employee development, training and career progression
Leading people-related change and organisational development initiatives
Developing HR policies, procedures and employee engagement initiatives
Managing HR systems, people data, benefits and the HR budget
Providing practical, trusted advice to senior managers and employees across the business
You will be a strong HR generalist with experience operating in a growing or changing organisation.
Broad generalist HR experience
Strong employee relations and performance management experience
Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Experience developing or implementing people strategy
Experience supporting organisational growth or change
Strong recruitment and talent attraction experience
A commercial, practical and hands-on approach
The confidence to work closely with and influence senior management
CIPD qualifications would be advantageous, although significant relevant HR experience will also be considered.
Experience within property, construction, consultancy or another professional-services environment would be useful but is not essential.
This could suit an existing Head of HR / Head of People, or a strong Senior HR Manager, People & Culture Manager or Senior HR Business Partner looking to step into a broader leadership role.
Adair is open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate, including a pattern that can accommodate school-run commitments.
Core availability between 10am and 2pm is preferred, together with flexibility to attend occasional evening events and company functions.
