Job Description

Dalton Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity with a great client based in Croydon, who are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team and play a key role in delivering a full end to end, 360 degree, HR service across the organisation. This is a varied and rewarding HR position where you'll combine HR advisory responsibilities with more typical HR generalist responsibilities, training and development activities which will help create a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Working closely with the People & Organisational Manager, you'll support approximately 300 employees across the organisation, providing expert HR guidance, delivering learning initiatives and contributing to key people projects that support business success.

While there can be flexibility to attend important personal commitments as required, the role does require someone to be based in their Croydon offices 5 days/week but it is a very engaging, inclusive and positive culture where there is a shared sense of pride and importance in the services they offer.

What you'll be doing

HR Advisory & Employee Support

Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the business

Advising on employee relations matters including absence management, investigations, disciplinary processes and grievance cases

Supporting complex case management and Employment Tribunal preparation where required

Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development and offboarding

Managing and maintaining employment documentation, contracts, job descriptions and development records

Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and best practice

Recruitment & Talent

Supporting recruitment campaigns and selection processes to attract high-quality talent

Working closely with recruitment teams to coordinate hiring activity and candidate onboarding

Managing pre-employment screening processes, including references, medical assessments and DBS checks

Supporting talent development and succession planning initiatives

Training & Development

Identifying learning and development needs across the business

Designing, coordinating and delivering engaging training programmes

Supporting managers and employees in achieving development objectives

Monitoring mandatory training compliance and ensuring completion targets are achieved

Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Projects & Continuous Improvement

Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and action planning

Contributing to HR system implementation and improvement projects, including HRIS developments

Reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and guidance materials

Producing HR reports and management information to support business decision-making

Ensuring HR data is accurate, up to date and compliant with company requirements

What we're looking for

Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR & Training Advisor role

CIPD qualified or currently working towards qualification

Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice

Experience supporting employee relations cases from start to finish

Learning & Development experience, including training delivery and facilitation

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications

A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach

High levels of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail

Why Apply?

A varied role combining HR advisory, generalist and learning & development responsibilities

The genuine opportunity to influence employee experience and organisational culture

Exposure to a broad range of HR activities and business projects

A supportive and collaborative working environment

Ongoing professional development opportunities

If you're passionate about people, enjoy building strong relationships and want to play an important role in developing and supporting a thriving workforce, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape a positive and engaging employee experience for colleagues across the organisation. Dalton Recruitment Ltd is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role. We will always try to respond to all applications individually but due to the high volume we receive, this may simply not be possible. So if you do not hear back from us within 3 working days, please accept our apologies but please also assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
