Group Accountant

£70-75K (6 month FTC)

My client is a technology company based in Central London and are looking for a Group Financial Accountant for 6 months.

Duties Include

Supporting the group consolidation and the preparation of group financial reporting, including reporting by function

Support monthly financial reporting, including (but not limited to) automating functional reporting, implementing regional and product-level P&L reporting, and supporting financial KPI reporting aligned to agreed business strategies

Preparing and reviewing management accounts in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment

Reviewing the work of junior team members, providing quality control and developing the team

Support audit transition to new auditor

Identifying and driving process improvements across the finance function

Leveraging AI tools and supporting or leading AI-related projects and finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and process effectiveness across the finance function

Requirements

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

Strong technical ground and excellent attention to detail

Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment - comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and pace

A self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding

A genuine appetite for improving processes and project-managing change

Strong financial and management accounting experience

Experience preparing group reporting by function

Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation

Comfort with finance technology, automation, or AI tools
