I am delighted to be partnered with a professional services firm based in Manchester City Centre in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their award winning FP&A Team.

This role will play a crucial part in their financial planning and analysis, helping to drive strategic decisions by providing key insights into our performance, with a specific focus on schemes.

Key Duties

Build intermediate to advanced financial models from the ground up to support scenario and sensitivity analysis for various financial outcomes.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare accurate financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with regional analysts.

Analyse monthly actuals against budgets and forecasts. Develop a deep understanding of key drivers, such as volume, rate & mix and customer economics, to provide clear explanations for variances.

Gain an understanding of contractual obligations with schemes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate current reporting processes. Demonstrate an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement process changes that increase efficiency and accuracy.

Accurately reconcile scheme volumes to ensure precise invoicing of schemes and proper accrual of associated fees and incentives.

About You

Qualified Accountant

A fundamental understanding of core financial concepts, including P&L and balance sheets and accrual accounting.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and manipulate large datasets.
