Description

Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant regulations and standards.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the organisation.

Ensure compliance with public sector financial policies and procedures.

Analyse financial data to provide accurate and timely reports to stakeholders.

Manage reconciliations and oversee month-end and year-end processes.

Support external audits and address any queries effectively.

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.

Provide financial advice and guidance to internal teams as needed.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have

A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).

Experience working in Local Government finance teams and closing accounts.

Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.

Job Offer

Competitive daily pay ranging from £450 to £520, depending on experience.
