Financial Accountant

Salary: Up to £65,000 or day-rate equivalent (Umbrella) Location: Central London | Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home Contract: 12-Month FTC | Potential to Become Permanent Start Date: October 2026 The Opportunity We are partnering with a highly recognised consumer brand to recruit a Financial Accountant for an initial 12-month contract.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will take on a varied, hands-on role covering financial accounting, reconciliations, debt, lease accounting, audit and financial reporting.

We are particularly interested in CA, ACA or ACCA qualified accountants or finalists, whether you are looking to make your first move from practice into industry or are already working in a similar role. Key Responsibilities

Balance sheet reconciliations and resolving historic accounting discrepancies.

Month-end and year-end accounting, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Debt reconciliations and lease accounting (IFRS 16).

Supporting year-end audit and financial reporting.

Improving accounting processes and financial controls.

About You

CA, ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist.

Practice-trained or currently working in a financial accounting role.

Strong technical accounting knowledge and Excel skills.

Excellent communication skills, with a friendly, outgoing and proactive personality.

Consumer, retail or hospitality experience advantageous but not essential.
