Financial Accountant

FS Partners is delighted to be recruiting a Financial Accountant for a leading international hospitality group with a portfolio of well-known lifestyle brands across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to step into a varied, technical role within a growing group.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month end for the UK and Jersey operating entities, including balance sheet and revenue reconciliations, tax reporting, intercompany recharges, IFRS 16, payroll accounting and management fee calculations

Ensure correct technical accounting treatment under IFRS and FRS 101 (reduced disclosure)

Own the preparation of statutory accounts for UK and Jersey entities and support wider group statutory reporting

Act as the main point of contact for the UK and Jersey audits, managing auditor relationships and timelines

Manage VAT returns and support the annual corporate tax process, liaising with external tax advisors

Work with senior stakeholders and board members to ensure their fiduciary responsibilities are clear and met

Manage professional services and company secretarial suppliers against budget

Support cash management and forecasting, including funding proposals, intercompany balance clearance and working capital optimisation

Prepare technical accounting papers and keep the business aligned with evolving reporting standards

Drive process improvement and efficiency through better use of systems

Support business-critical ad hoc projects as the group grows

Provide cover across the wider reporting team, including debt reporting, cash flows, new property handovers and risk and compliance reporting

About You

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified

Ideally 1–2 years' post-qualification experience in a financial reporting role

Strong technical accounting skills, with an understanding of IFRS and how it interacts with UK, Jersey and Luxembourg GAAP

Strong systems and modelling skills, including Excel, NetSuite and Power BI

Experience of multi-jurisdiction groups (multiple GAAPs and currencies) is desirable

Hospitality industry experience is desirable

Analytical and organised, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions

Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence change

Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working to tight deadlines
