Financial Accountant

Your new company Our client is the UK arm of a global manufacturing business. Based at the Wigan site, you will work with an experienced Financial Controller and motivated finance team in this ideal role for first time mover from practice.

Your new role As Financial Accountant for this busy and complex business, you will be responsible for all financial compliance and reporting for the UK entity. At year end you will prepare statutory accounts to FRS102 and will be the primary liaison point for the auditors. You will update the business on any technical accounting matters that are relevant and will be responsible for VAT returns and corporation tax schedule completion. You will review financial controls and look to improve efficiency and processes where possible. In addition you will oversee compliance from a finance and taxation standpoint.

What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a qualified accountant who has strong experience of either preparing or auditing statutory accounts. You should have a strong technical accounting knowledge, in particular around FRS 102. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with other departments is essential for this role.
