Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Leeds (Hybrid working – 2/3 days WFH)
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 + discretionary bonus & benefits package
Our client is a real estate group with a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use assets across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their Leeds-based finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support financial reporting, month-end processes, and business partnering activities across the group.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
Support the external audit process and liaise with advisers
Produce financial commentary and variance analysis for stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
Requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
Trained within a Big 4 or Top 20/50 accountancy practice with an external audit background
Experience gained within industry following qualification would be advantageous
Property development, real estate, construction, or related sector experience would be beneficial
Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
