Financial Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing and successful SME based in Sutton, Surrey. The role is based onsite 4 days per week with free parking and 1 day remotely. The role is a mixture of management and financial accounting as well as other project work, so its an interesting and varied opportunity for a fully qualified accountant. The role would suit someone from practice looking for a first move into industry or someone with experience already working in industry. Advanced excel skills are required along with a can-do attitude, inquisitive mindset and previous statutory accounts production experience.

Key areas of responsibility include

Accurate monthly consolidated management accounts

Accurate year end consolidated statutory accounts production

Working with auditors to ensure audit is completed to agreed timeline

Provision of corporation tax information

Ownership of inventory reporting

Provision of accurate financial information to support all areas of the business in decision making

Manage the year end stock process

Review of VAT returns

Other ad-hoc ongoing project work

This role would suit a technically trained accountant with confident statutory accounts experience as well as previous experience of managing an audit process with external auditors.
