Role: Finance Manager
Client: Media Planning/Buying agency
Location: London, City
Part-Time: 3 days/week
Salary: £58,000-£66,000 pa FTE (i.e £35k-£40k pa pro rata)
Reporting to: Finance & Commercial Director

VisionFR is delighted to be working this growing media independent as it brings it's finance function in-house for the first time.
As finance manager, you will be the finance department on all matters financial, transactiona through to management reporting, though you will have some assistance from some of the business's operational and administration staff. You will assess the current finance function and decide how it should deveop to be fit for purpose. You will work with the business owner and key directors to move the finance system over from to Concept.
The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the business and help the leadership team be fully aware of the company's performance and its financial position.
You will report to the Managing Director and part-time Finance Director.
THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE – INITIALLY 3 DAYS PER WEEK
Responsibilities
All basic bookkeeping and financial record keeping, with assistance.
Timely delivery of a complete monthly management accounting service and reporting pack.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Completion and submission of VAT, PAYE/NIC and ONS returns
Credit control – this is a critical part of the role. Work with operations team, actively managing customer debts and keeping the debtor days to absolute minimum.
Accounts payable, monthly payment runs and perform reconciliations to ensure our accounts with key media owners are kept up to date and squeaky clean at all time
Bank reconciliations, weekly cash reporting and cash forecasting
Paying employees expenses
Prepare information required for monthly payroll and submit to outsourced provider
Adhoc projects to assist the MD
Work with operations team to introduce project based financial reporting to evaluate the recoveries on and profitability of individual projects and improve the overall operating margin of the business.
Liaison with auditor and tax advisors to ensure completion of annual statutory accounts and tax computations.
Requirements
At least 3 years’ experience with a demonstrable track record of achievement.
You may be a qualified accountant or you may be studying for the latter stages of your ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications (or equivalent).
You may be someone who has had a career break and is looking to return to work, but not on a full-time basis
Experience of working in the world of advertising is highly desirable
Experience of Xero accounts
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively to deadlines under pressure.
First class organisational and analytical skills and be confident in communicating financial information.
An eagerness to grow with the business and the finance function.
Good management and leadership skills and be a committed team player.
Proficient Excel skills.
