Finance Manager

Finance Manager - Circa £50,000 per annum - London

We are currently recruiting exclusively for an experienced finance and accounting manager for this interesting not for profit organisation – as the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and all accounting activities across the organisation

Reporting to the Finance Director, this Finance Manager role will be 'hands-on' and a varied role, the main responsibilities will include:

Maintain and reconcile all the transactional accounting activities, including purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations and sales invoices

Maintain and reconcile the petty cash and staff expense processing including personal and company credit card transactions

Prepare and submit monthly payroll instructions to the bureau, post payroll journals and reconcile salary control accounts

Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and reconcile control accounts

Fixed Assets -maintain the fixed asset register and reconcile fixed asset balances to the nominal ledger

Prepare quarterly accruals and prepayments and post journals, complete year-end routines and post-audit adjustments

Produce financial analysis for income streams and assist with preparation of quarterly management accounts

Requirements for this role

An experienced and/or part- qualified accountant with significant experience

Strong finance accounting and transactional finance experience

Proven experience preparing reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments

Experience in supporting VAT returns and payroll processing

A reliable and confident self-starter with experience in a ‘hands-on’ Finance role

A strong communicator who is confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders
