We are partnering with a leading global provider of digital business solutions and services, in their search for an Interim Finance Manager. This is a 6-month temporary role based in Leeds, offering a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office, 2 days at home) and a day rate up to £370 per day via umbrella for the right candidate. The Role As the Finance Manager, you will partner with organisational leaders to drive growth, support strategic financial goals, and ensure robust fiduciary responsibility across assigned operating units. This management-track position requires an experienced professional capable of achieving goals through the work of others, providing technical guidance, and managing a team of professional employees. Key Responsibilities
Team Management: Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate a team of three or more financial professionals to ensure monthly deliverables and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Financial Control: Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations while ensuring proper organisational processes and controls are maintained.
Month-End Close: Integrate month-end close process analysis by collaborating closely with internal Accounting and Operations teams.
P&L & Variance Analysis: Review the P&L for completeness and accuracy, investigate deviations, and prepare clear variance explanations for material budget or forecast changes across complex contracts.
Planning & Forecasting: Support and oversee planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasting processes, including the development of projected financials for pricing proposals.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with business leaders to understand and challenge operational assumptions, translating strategy into accurate financial work products.
Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Financial Control & Reconciliations: Substantial, proven experience managing high-volume reconciliations and rigorous financial controls in a complex environment.
Planning & Forecasting: Strong background in commercial budgeting, forecasting, and analysing actual versus targeted financial results.
Leadership Experience: Prior exposure to managing, developing, and reviewing the performance of a finance team.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to guide, influence, and persuade internal stakeholders and matrixed teams to resolve complex operational problems.
