The Finance Manager role was created to address two needs simultaneously: to add senior-level capacity at a moment when the UK Finance team is supporting a concentrated programme of strategic projects and to raise the maturity of the control environment in preparation for an increasingly rigorous external audit cycle.

You will be the Finance Director's deputy — covering Board, ExCo, and governance forums when required — and will have one direct report (Management Accountant).

You will also play a leading role in embedding AI and automation into Finance's operating model, reducing time spent on routine processing and creating space for higher-value analytical work.

Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience at an FCA-authorised firm — investment management, stockbroking, spread betting, banking, or fintech.

Strong IFRS technical knowledge and the ability to prepare statutory financial statements, develop accounting policies, work through complex accounting treatments, and document conclusions clearly for audit purposes.

Working knowledge of CASS 7 (client money segregation) and the obligations it places on an FCA (MIFIDPRU) investment firm.

Self-starter with the judgement and communication skills to represent Finance at Board, ExCo, and regulatory forums when required.
