Management Accountant / Finance Manager
Based: South Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £50k dependent on experience & study level + Bonus + Study Support (if desired) + Excellent Benefits
Whitaker Smith are exclusively partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing SME looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly created position. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing data, solving problems and turning numbers into meaningful commercial insight whilst overseeing all internal finance and leading a small team of 2-3.
Role
Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for the business
Working with the FD on acquisitions, ensuring smooth integration to group
Leading a team of 2-3 people (Junior Accounts) ensuring their development and training
Overseeing monthly analysis and reconciliation of high volume data, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
Supporting on future acquisition targets through detailed commercial and financial analysis alongside the FD
Producing weekly and monthly KPI reporting, providing meaningful insight to support business performance and decision making.
Analysing acquisition performance against expectations and preparing reports for senior management, delivering numbers to the Directors/board
Supporting continuous improvements in reporting, finance processes and data quality through strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Collaborating closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team, providing commercial insight to support future growth.
Studying CIMA/ACCA OR QBE
Experience working in a growing SME environment is absolutely essential (under £30m turnover)
Experience managing a small team essential
Hands on, agile and keen to continue developing your experience
