Job Description

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with an established logistics provider with nationwide operations, offering a stable and professional environment within a sector that continues to play a vital role in the UK economy.

They are now seeking a Finance Manager to join their finance team and take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the business. This is a broad and hands-on role, combining technical accounting responsibilities with team supervision and operational oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely production of management accounts, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing accurate financial information to support business decision-making.

Working closely with senior management, you will play an important role in maintaining the smooth running of the finance function while managing a small finance team. This opportunity would suit an experienced finance professional looking for a stable and long-term position within a well-established organisation, where they can utilise their technical expertise while remaining involved in the day-to-day operations of the business.

Skills needed

Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior management accounting role.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management accounts, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.

Experience managing, supervising, or mentoring finance staff.

Strong organisational, communication, and systems skills, with a hands-on approach to finance.
