Finance Manager Location: North Manchester Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience + bonus Contract: Full Time, Permanent Full time office based working

Client Details

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to join a growing business in North Manchester.

This will be a broad and varied role, you'll play an important role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and reporting, and ensuring robust financial processes are maintained.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Finance Manager will be

Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing.

Manage bank reconciliations, supplier payments, credit control and cash flow.

Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, P&L and financial reports.

Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.

Manage VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.

Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers.

Monitor expenditure, budgets and financial performance.

Manage supplier accounts, contracts and renewals.

Oversee financial systems and processes, including SAGE.

Identify and implement process and system improvements.

Ensure financial procedures and reporting deadlines are consistently met.

Support with financial analysis, budgeting and business projects.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager will have

Previous experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role.

A recognised finance qualification or 5+ years' relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of Management Accounts, AP, AR, reconciliations and credit control.

Experience with SAGE or a similar accounting system.

Strong Excel skills and confidence producing financial reports.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Able to work independently, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Professional, reliable and confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
