Finance Manager

This Finance Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of management accounts, cash flow forecasting, month-end processes, payroll, VAT and financial reporting while managing a Finance Assistant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight, drive process improvements and support strategic decision-making.

Description

Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.

Managing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Owning the cash flow forecasting process and monitoring performance against forecast.

Preparing and submitting VAT returns and overseeing payroll activities.

Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, partnering with operational teams to understand business performance.

Developing and maintaining financial and operational KPIs to support strategic decision-making.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies and enhance reporting capability.

Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Supporting external audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.

Leading and developing a small finance team.

Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

Previous experience within a finance leadership, management accounting or senior finance role.

Strong accounting knowledge and experience producing accurate and timely financial information.

A track record of partnering with operational and senior stakeholders to support decision-making.

Experience improving processes, enhancing controls and driving efficiencies within a finance function.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations.

Confidence managing priorities, meeting deadlines and operating effectively in a growing business environment.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong systems knowledge, including advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with finance software.

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Qualified-by-experience
