Finance Manager

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead finance function, manage a transactional finance team, and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Description

Managing and developing a finance team of six

Reviewing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

Overseeing month-end processes and ensuring strong financial controls

Managing payroll, VAT returns, PAYE and statutory reporting

Authorising payments and monitoring cash flow

Leading the annual audit and liaising with external auditors

Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities

Monitoring stock reconciliations and debt reviews

Deputising for the CFO when required and supporting wider finance projects

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have

A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.

Previous experience managing a finance team

Strong management accounting and financial control experience

Knowledge of payroll, VAT and statutory reporting

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
