Finance Manager

Job Type: Permanent Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum Location: Kingswinford/Dudley

Your new company Hays Senior Finance are supporting a highly successful, PE-backed organisation in the West Midlands with the recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Your new role Reporting directly into the CFO, you will take ownership of key day-to-day activities for the principal trading entity whilst managing a small operational finance team.

Lead the month-end process and financial reporting for the main trading entity and group holding companies

Manage and develop a team covering accounts payable, payroll, banking and finance administration

Support the acquisition process, including financial integration and completion of balance sheet reviews

Oversee VAT, corporation tax and PAYE compliance, working closely with external advisors

Manage year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation

Drive improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting

Develop meaningful KPIs and management information to support operational decision-making

Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve data quality and finance processes

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Strong month-end and operational finance experience, ideally gained in a growing or complex business

Technically sound with knowledge of tax, VAT, statutory accounts, consolidation and cash flow

High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical capability

A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience of managing and developing finance staff

Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems
