Commercial Finance Analyst - 6 months FTC

Location: London Heathrow

Job Type: Full-time, Contract office based

Salary: 40-50k

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. This newly created role is focused on budget/forecast planning, project-based analysis, and strategic work with various stakeholders. It offers high exposure and is ideal for someone with a strong penchant for systems, financial modelling, and systematic problem-solving.

Day-to-day of the role

Conduct weekly/monthly volume and revenue trend forecasts.

Manage reforecast (7+5) and annual budget planning for both entities.

Review and track Capex and Opex business cases with procurement.

Analyse monthly performance against budget and/or forecast, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends.

Generate and track cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives, holding stakeholders accountable.

Perform headcount and FTE modelling/analysis.

Collaborate with procurement to understand annual contract renewals and inflationary impacts.

Work with the Transaction Finance Manager to model cash flow.

Adhere to and develop internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary.

Assist the Head of Finance and FP&A Manager on ad-hoc projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or very good finalist.

Experience in multi-site P&L, cargo, or aviation is advantageous.

Strong experience as a Finance Analyst.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated commercial and business acumen.

Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.

Proficiency in PowerPoint.

Familiarity with PowerBI, Power Query, and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

Ability to adhere to deadlines.

Modern outlook on finance with an interest in systems and automation.
